BYOS (Bring Your Own Storage) lets you connect your own Google Drive account. Photos are stored in your Drive — you control access, retention, and quota. This option costs less. Managed Storage means Karafuru stores your photos on our infrastructure via Cloudflare R2. Photos are automatically available via download link for 30 days per event, then deleted. No setup required on your end.

Photos stored on Managed Storage are automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after the event they belong to. Guests should download their photos before this window closes. The 30-day timer starts from the event activation date, not the upload date. BYOS photos follow whatever retention policy you set in your own Google Drive.
